Chapter 6

62What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before? 63It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh provides no benefit; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit, and are life. 64But there are some of you who do not believe.' For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray Him. 65And He was saying, 'For this reason I have told you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted him from the Father.'
66As a result of this many of His disciples left, and would no longer walk with Him. 67So Jesus said to the twelve, 'You do not want to leave also, do you?' 68Simon Peter answered Him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

62What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. 64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. 65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. 67Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away 68Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

66From that moment many of his disciples turned back and no longer accompanied him. 67So Jesus said to the Twelve, "You don’t want to go away too, do you?"
68Simon Peter answered, "Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.

66At this point many of his disciples turned away and deserted him. 67Then Jesus turned to the Twelve and asked, 'Are you also going to leave?'
68Simon Peter replied, 'Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.
