Chapter 21

39Heshbon with its pasture lands, and Jazer with its pasture lands; four cities in all. 40All these were the cities of the sons of Merari according to their families, the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.
41All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel were forty-eight cities with their pasture lands. 42These cities individually had their surrounding pasture lands; this is how it was with all these cities.
43So the Lord gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and lived in it.

39Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all. 40So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities.
41All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs. 42These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.

39Heshbon with its pasturelands, Jazer with its pasturelands — four cities in all. 40As for the cities of the several Merarite clans, that is, the remainder of the clans of the Levites, those allotted to them were in all twelve cities.
