Chapter 6

16Yet the Lord said to him, 'I will certainly be with you, and you will defeat Midian as one man.' 17So Gideon said to Him, 'If now I have found favor in Your sight, then perform for me a sign that it is You speaking with me.

16And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man. 17And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.

16"But I will be with you," the Lord said to him. "You will strike Midian down as if it were one man."
17Then he said to him, "If I have found favor with you, give me a sign that you are speaking with me.
