Chapter 14

50and he shall slaughter the one bird in an earthenware vessel over running water. 51Then he shall take the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet string, with the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird as well as in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times. 52So he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and with the running water, along with the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet string. 53However, he shall let the live bird go free outside the city into the open field. So he shall make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.'
54This is the law for any spot of leprosy—even for a scale, 55and for the leprous garment or house, 56and for a swelling, for a scab, and for a bright spot— 57to teach when they are unclean and when they are clean. This is the law of leprosy.

In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.
54"This is the law for any skin disease or mildew, for a scaly outbreak, 55for mildew in clothing or on a house, 56and for a swelling, scab, or spot, 57to determine when something is unclean or clean. This is the law regarding skin disease and mildew."

50He will slaughter one of the birds over a clay pot filled with fresh water. 51He will take the cedar stick, the hyssop branch, the scarlet yarn, and the live bird, and dip them into the blood of the slaughtered bird and into the fresh water. Then he will sprinkle the house seven times. 52When the priest has purified the house in exactly this way, 53he will release the live bird in the open fields outside the town. Through this process, the priest will purify the house, and it will be ceremonially clean.
54These are the instructions for dealing with serious skin diseases, including scabby sores; 55and mildew, whether on clothing or in a house; 56and a swelling on the skin, a rash, or discolored skin.
57This procedure will determine whether a person or object is ceremonially clean or unclean. 'These are the instructions regarding skin diseases and mildew.'

So he shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean."
54This is the law for any case of leprous disease: for an itch, 55for leprous disease in a garment or in a house, 56and for a swelling or an eruption or a spot, 57to show when it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the law for leprous disease.

54These are the regulations for any defiling skin disease, for a sore, 55for defiling molds in fabric or in a house, 56and for a swelling, a rash or a shiny spot,
57to determine when something is clean or unclean. These are the regulations for defiling skin diseases and defiling molds.
