Leviticus 25:15-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
15Corresponding to the number of years after the jubilee, you shall buy from your friend; he is to sell to you according to the number of years of crops. 16In proportion to a greater number of years you shall increase its price, and in proportion to fewer years you shall decrease its price, because it is the number of crops that he is selling to you. 17So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
18‘You shall therefore follow My statutes and keep My judgments so as to carry them out, so that you may live securely on the land.
19Then the land will yield its produce, so that you can eat your fill and live securely on it.
20But if you say, 'What are we going to eat in the seventh year if we do not sow nor gather in our produce?'
21then I will so order My blessing for you in the sixth year that it will bring forth the produce for three years.
22When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the produce, eating the old until the ninth year when its produce comes in.
King James Version
Chapter 25
15According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee: 16According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee. 17Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the Lord your God. 18Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
22And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 25
15You are to make the purchase from your neighbor based on the number of years since the last Jubilee. He is to sell to you based on the number of remaining harvest years. 16You are to increase its price in proportion to a greater amount of years, and decrease its price in proportion to a lesser amount of years, because what he is selling to you is a number of harvests. 17You are not to cheat one another, but fear your God, for I am the Lord your God.
18"You are to keep my statutes and ordinances and carefully observe them, so that you may live securely in the land.
19Then the land will yield its fruit, so that you can eat, be satisfied, and live securely in the land.
20If you wonder: ‘What will we eat in the seventh year if we don’t sow or gather our produce?’
21I will appoint my blessing for you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years.
22When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the previous harvest. You will be eating this until the ninth year when its harvest comes in.
New Living Translation
Chapter 25
15When you buy land from your neighbor, the price you pay must be based on the number of years since the last jubilee. The seller must set the price by taking into account the number of years remaining until the next Year of Jubilee. 16The more years until the next jubilee, the higher the price; the fewer years, the lower the price. After all, the person selling the land is actually selling you a certain number of harvests. 17Show your fear of God by not taking advantage of each other. I am the Lord your God.
18If you want to live securely in the land, follow my decrees and obey my regulations.
19Then the land will yield large crops, and you will eat your fill and live securely in it.
20But you might ask, ‘What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’
21Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years.
22When you plant your fields in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year.
English Standard Version
Chapter 25
15You shall pay your neighbor according to the number of years after the jubilee, and he shall sell to you according to the number of years for crops. 16If the years are many, you shall increase the price, and if the years are few, you shall reduce the price, for it is the number of the crops that he is selling to you. 17You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God, for I am the Lord your God.
18"Therefore you shall do my statutes and keep my rules and perform them, and then you will dwell in the land securely.
19The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and dwell in it securely.
20And if you say, ‘What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop?’
21I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years.
22When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating some of the old crop; you shall eat the old until the ninth year, when its crop arrives.
New International Version
Chapter 25
15You are to buy from your own people on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And they are to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops. 16When the years are many, you are to increase the price, and when the years are few, you are to decrease the price, because what is really being sold to you is the number of crops. 17Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God. I am the Lord your God.
18" ‘Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws, and you will live safely in the land.
19Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and live there in safety.
20You may ask, "What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?"
21I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.
22While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in.
New King James Version

18‘So you shall observe My statutes and keep My judgments, and perform them; and you will dwell in the land in safety.
