Chapter 25
16In proportion to a greater number of years you shall increase its price, and in proportion to fewer years you shall decrease its price, because it is the number of crops that he is selling to you. 17So you shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the Lord your God.
18‘You shall therefore follow My statutes and keep My judgments so as to carry them out, so that you may live securely on the land.
19Then the land will yield its produce, so that you can eat your fill and live securely on it.
20But if you say, 'What are we going to eat in the seventh year if we do not sow nor gather in our produce?'
21then I will so order My blessing for you in the sixth year that it will bring forth the produce for three years.
22When you are sowing the eighth year, you can still eat old things from the produce, eating the old until the ninth year when its produce comes in.
23‘The land, moreover, shall not be sold permanently, because the land is Mine; for you are only strangers and residents with Me.
24So for every piece of your property, you are to provide for the redemption of the land.
25‘If a fellow countryman of yours becomes so poor that he sells part of his property, then his closest redeemer is to come and buy back what his relative has sold.
26Or in case someone has no redeemer, but recovers to find sufficient means for its redemption,
27then he shall calculate the years since its sale and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it, and so return to his property.
28But if he has not found sufficient means to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hands of its purchaser until the year of jubilee; but at the jubilee it shall revert, so that he may return to his property.

16According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee. 17Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the Lord your God. 18Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
22And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
23The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
24And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
25If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
26And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
27Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
28But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

Chapter 25
16You are to increase its price in proportion to a greater amount of years, and decrease its price in proportion to a lesser amount of years, because what he is selling to you is a number of harvests. 17You are not to cheat one another, but fear your God, for I am the Lord your God.
18"You are to keep my statutes and ordinances and carefully observe them, so that you may live securely in the land.
19Then the land will yield its fruit, so that you can eat, be satisfied, and live securely in the land.
20If you wonder: ‘What will we eat in the seventh year if we don’t sow or gather our produce?’
21I will appoint my blessing for you in the sixth year, so that it will produce a crop sufficient for three years.
22When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating from the previous harvest. You will be eating this until the ninth year when its harvest comes in.
23"The land is not to be permanently sold because it is mine, and you are only aliens and temporary residents on my land.
24You are to allow the redemption of any land you occupy.
25If your brother becomes destitute and sells part of his property, his nearest relative may come and redeem what his brother has sold.
26If a man has no family redeemer, but he prospers and obtains enough to redeem his land,
27he may calculate the years since its sale, repay the balance to the man he sold it to, and return to his property.
28But if he cannot obtain enough to repay him, what he sold will remain in the possession of its purchaser until the Year of Jubilee. It is to be released at the Jubilee, so that he may return to his property.

Chapter 25
16The more years until the next jubilee, the higher the price; the fewer years, the lower the price. After all, the person selling the land is actually selling you a certain number of harvests. 17Show your fear of God by not taking advantage of each other. I am the Lord your God.
18If you want to live securely in the land, follow my decrees and obey my regulations.
19Then the land will yield large crops, and you will eat your fill and live securely in it.
20But you might ask, ‘What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’
21Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years.
22When you plant your fields in the eighth year, you will still be eating from the large crop of the sixth year. In fact, you will still be eating from that large crop when the new crop is harvested in the ninth year.
24With every purchase of land you must grant the seller the right to buy it back.
25If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell some family land, then a close relative should buy it back for him.
26If there is no close relative to buy the land, but the person who sold it gets enough money to buy it back,
27he then has the right to redeem it from the one who bought it. The price of the land will be discounted according to the number of years until the next Year of Jubilee. In this way the original owner can then return to the land.
28But if the original owner cannot afford to buy back the land, it will remain with the new owner until the next Year of Jubilee. In the jubilee year, the land must be returned to the original owners so they can return to their family land.

28But if they do not acquire the means to repay, what was sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and they can then go back to their property.
