29‘Likewise, if a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then his redemption right remains valid until a full year after its sale; his right of redemption lasts a full year.
30But if it is not bought back for him within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city passes permanently to its purchaser throughout his generations; it does not revert in the jubilee.
31The houses of the villages, however, which have no surrounding wall, shall be regarded as open fields; they have redemption rights and revert in the jubilee.
32As for the cities of the Levites, the Levites have a permanent right of redemption for the houses of the cities which are their possession.
33What, therefore, belongs to the Levites may be redeemed, and a house sale in the city of this possession reverts in the jubilee, because the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the sons of Israel.
34But pasture fields of their cities shall not be sold, for that is their permanent possession.
35‘Now in case a countryman of yours becomes poor and his means among you falter, then you are to sustain him, like a stranger or a resident, so that he may live with you.
36Do not take any kind of interest from him, but fear your God, so that your countryman may live with you.
37You shall not give him your silver at interest, nor your food for profit.

29"If a man sells a residence in a walled city, his right of redemption will last until a year has passed after its sale; his right of redemption will last a year.
30If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its purchaser throughout his generations. It is not to be released on the Jubilee.
31But houses in settlements that have no walls around them are to be classified as open fields. The right to redeem such houses stays in effect, and they are to be released at the Jubilee.
32"Concerning the Levitical cities, the Levites always have the right to redeem houses in the cities they possess.
33Whatever property one of the Levites can redeem —a house sold in a city they possess—is to be released at the Jubilee, because the houses in the Levitical cities are their possession among the Israelites.
34The open pastureland around their cities may not be sold, for it is their permanent possession.
35"If your brother becomes destitute and cannot sustain himself among you, you are to support him as an alien or temporary resident, so that he can continue to live among you.
36Do not profit or take interest from him, but fear your God and let your brother live among you.
37You are not to lend him your silver with interest or sell him your food for profit.

29Anyone who sells a house inside a walled town has the right to buy it back for a full year after its sale. During that year, the seller retains the right to buy it back.
30But if it is not bought back within a year, the sale of the house within the walled town cannot be reversed. It will become the permanent property of the buyer. It will not be returned to the original owner in the Year of Jubilee.
31But a house in a village — a settlement without fortified walls — will be treated like property in the countryside. Such a house may be bought back at any time, and it must be returned to the original owner in the Year of Jubilee.
32The Levites always have the right to buy back a house they have sold within the towns allotted to them.
33And any property that is sold by the Levites — all houses within the Levitical towns — must be returned in the Year of Jubilee. After all, the houses in the towns reserved for the Levites are the only property they own in all Israel.
34The open pastureland around the Levitical towns may never be sold. It is their permanent possession.
35If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and cannot support himself, support him as you would a foreigner or a temporary resident and allow him to live with you.
36Do not charge interest or make a profit at his expense. Instead, show your fear of God by letting him live with you as your relative.
37Remember, do not charge interest on money you lend him or make a profit on food you sell him.
