Luke 10:4-8
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
4Carry no money belt, no bag, no sandals, and greet no one along the way. 5And whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’ 6And if a man of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him; but if not, it will return to you. 7Stay in that house, eating and drinking what they provide; for the laborer is deserving of his wages. Do not move from house to house. 8Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is served to you;King James Version
Chapter 10
4Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way. 5And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. 6And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again. 7And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house. 8And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
4Don’t carry a money-bag, traveling bag, or sandals; don’t greet anyone along the road. 5Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’ 6If a person of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you. 7Remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they offer, for the worker is worthy of his wages. Don’t move from house to house. 8When you enter any town, and they welcome you, eat the things set before you.New Living Translation
5Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say, ‘May God’s peace be on this house.’
6If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you.
7Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.
