Chapter 2

27And he came by the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law, 28then he took Him in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
29'Now, Lord, You are letting Your bond-servant depart in peace, According to Your word;

27Guided by the Spirit, he entered the temple. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to perform for him what was customary under the law, 28Simeon took him up in his arms, praised God, and said,
29Now, Master, you can dismiss your servant in peace, as you promised.
