Luke 22:40-51
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
40Now when He arrived at the place, He said to them, 'Pray that you do not come into temptation.' 41And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, 42saying, 'Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.' 43[ Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. 44And being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground]. 45When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow, 46and He said to them, 'Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you do not come into temptation.'
47While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading the way for them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him.
48But Jesus said to him, 'Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?'
49When those who were around Him saw what was going to happen, they said, 'Lord, shall we strike with the sword?'
50And one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear.
51But Jesus responded and said, 'Stop! No more of this.' And He touched his ear and healed him.
King James Version
Chapter 22
40And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 44And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
45And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
46And said unto them, Why sleep ye rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
48But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss
49When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
50And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
51And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Chapter 22
40When he reached the place, he told them, "Pray that you may not fall into temptation." 41Then he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and began to pray, 42"Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me—nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."
43Then an angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
44Being in anguish, he prayed more fervently, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.
45When he got up from prayer and came to the disciples, he found them sleeping, exhausted from their grief.
46"Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray, so that you won’t fall into temptation."
47While he was still speaking, suddenly a mob came, and one of the Twelve named Judas was leading them. He came near Jesus to kiss him,
48but Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"
New Living Translation
41He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed,
42Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.'
43Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him.
44He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood.
45At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief.
46Why are you sleeping?' he asked them. 'Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.'
47But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss.
48But Jesus said, 'Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?'
