Chapter 23
28But Jesus turned to them and said, 'Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29For behold, days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are those who cannot bear, and the wombs that have not given birth, and the breasts that have not nursed.’ 30Then they will begin TO SAY TO THE MOUNTAINS, ‘FALL ON US,’ AND TO THE HILLS, ‘COVER US.’ 31For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?'
33And when they came to the place called The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.
34[ But Jesus was saying, 'Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.'] And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.
35And the people stood by, watching. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, 'He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One.'
36The soldiers also ridiculed Him, coming up to Him, offering Him sour wine,

32And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death.
33And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
34Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
35And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God.
36And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,

Chapter 23
28But turning to them, Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and your children. 29Look, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the women without children, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed!’ 30Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ 31For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
32Two others—criminals —were also led away to be executed with him.
33When they arrived at the place called The Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals, one on the right and one on the left.
34Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing." And they divided his clothes and cast lots.
