Chapter 7
13When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her and said to her, 'Do not go on weeping.' 14And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, 'Young man, I say to you, arise!' 15And the dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother. 16Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, 'A great prophet has appeared among us!' and, 'God has visited His people!' 17And this report about Him spread throughout Judea and in all the surrounding region.
18The disciples of John also reported to him about all these things.
19And after summoning two of his disciples, John sent them to the Lord, saying, 'Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for another?'
20When the men came to Him, they said, 'John the Baptist has sent us to You, to ask, ‘Are You the Coming One, or are we to look for another?’?'
21At that very time He cured many people of diseases and afflictions and evil spirits; and He gave sight to many who were blind.
22And He answered and said to them, 'Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: people who were blind receive sight, people who limped walk, people with leprosy are cleansed and people who were deaf hear, dead people are raised up, and people who are poor have the gospel preached to them.

13And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. 17And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.
18And the disciples of John shewed him of all these things.
19And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
20When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
21And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
22Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

15The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
16Then fear came over everyone, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen among us," and "God has visited his people."
17This report about him went throughout Judea and all the vicinity.
18Then John’s disciples told him about all these things. So John summoned two of his disciples
19and sent them to the Lord, asking, "Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?"
21At that time Jesus healed many people of diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and he granted sight to many blind people.
22He replied to them, "Go and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news,

13When the Lord saw her, his heart overflowed with compassion. 'Don’t cry!' he said. 14Then he walked over to the coffin and touched it, and the bearers stopped. 'Young man,' he said, 'I tell you, get up.' 15Then the dead boy sat up and began to talk! And Jesus gave him back to his mother.
16Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, saying, 'A mighty prophet has risen among us,' and 'God has visited his people today.'
17And the news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and the surrounding countryside.
18The disciples of John the Baptist told John about everything Jesus was doing. So John called for two of his disciples,
19and he sent them to the Lord to ask him, 'Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?'
21At that very time, Jesus cured many people of their diseases, illnesses, and evil spirits, and he restored sight to many who were blind.
22Then he told John’s disciples, 'Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard — the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.'
