Chapter 1

23Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24saying, 'What business do you have with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are: the Holy One of God!' 25And Jesus rebuked him, saying, 'Be quiet, and come out of him!' 26After throwing him into convulsions and crying out with a loud voice, the unclean spirit came out of him.

23And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? 25But Jesus reprimanded him. 'Be quiet! Come out of the man,' he ordered. 26At that, the evil spirit screamed, threw the man into a convulsion, and then came out of him.
