Chapter 11
1And as they *approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany, near the Mount of Olives, He *sent two of His disciples, 2and *said to them, 'Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it here. 3And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it’; and immediately he will send it back here.' 4They went away and found a colt tied at the door, outside in the street; and they *untied it. 5And some of the bystanders were saying to them, 'What are you doing, untying the colt?' 6And they told them just as Jesus had said, and they gave them permission. 7They *brought the colt to Jesus and *put their cloaks on it; and He sat on it. 8And many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches which they had cut from the fields.
9And those who went in front and those who followed were shouting: 'Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE Lord;
10Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!'
12On the next day, when they had left Bethany, He became hungry.
13Seeing from a distance a fig tree in leaf, He went to see if perhaps He would find anything on it; and when He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14And He said to it, 'May no one ever eat fruit from you again!' And His disciples were listening.
15Then they *came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple area and began to drive out those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves;
16and He would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple grounds.
17And He began to teach and say to them, 'Is it not written: ‘MY HOUSE WILL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS’? But you have made it a DEN OF ROBBERS.'
18And the chief priests and the scribes heard this, and they began seeking how to put Him to death; for they were afraid of Him, because all the crowd was astonished at His teaching.

1And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples, 2And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him. 3And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither. 4And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him. 5And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? 6And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go. 7And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him. 8And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way. 9And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord: 10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.
15And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer but ye have made it a den of thieves.

As soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.’"
4So they went and found a colt outside in the street, tied by a door. They untied it,
5and some of those standing there said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?"
6They answered them just as Jesus had said; so they let them go.
7They brought the donkey to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and he sat on it.
8Many people spread their clothes on the road, and others spread leafy branches cut from the fields.
9Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
10Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest heaven!
12The next day when they went out from Bethany, he was hungry.
13Seeing in the distance a fig tree with leaves, he went to find out if there was anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season for figs.
14He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" And his disciples heard it.
15They came to Jerusalem, and he went into the temple and began to throw out those buying and selling. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves,
16and would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple.
17He was teaching them: "Is it not written, My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves!"

Chapter 11
1As Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. 2Go into that village over there,' he told them. 'As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3If anyone asks, ‘What are you doing?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it soon.’'
4The two disciples left and found the colt standing in the street, tied outside the front door.
5As they were untying it, some bystanders demanded, 'What are you doing, untying that colt?'
6They said what Jesus had told them to say, and they were permitted to take it.
7Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it, and he sat on it.
9Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, 'Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!
10Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!'
12The next morning as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
13He noticed a fig tree in full leaf a little way off, so he went over to see if he could find any figs. But there were only leaves because it was too early in the season for fruit.
14Then Jesus said to the tree, 'May no one ever eat your fruit again!' And the disciples heard him say it.
15When they arrived back in Jerusalem, Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out the people buying and selling animals for sacrifices. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves,
16and he stopped everyone from using the Temple as a marketplace.
17He said to them, 'The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.'

14Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.
15On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,
16and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.
17And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations’ ? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’ "
