Mark 14:12-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 14
12On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples *said to Him, 'Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?' 13And He *sent two of His disciples and *said to them, 'Go into the city, and a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you; follow him; 14and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, 'Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?'?’ 15And he himself will show you a large upstairs room furnished and ready; prepare for us there.' 16The disciples left and came to the city, and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
17When it was evening He *came with the twelve.
18And as they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, 'Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me— one who is eating with Me.'
19They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, 'Surely not I?'
20But He said to them, 'It is one of the twelve, the one who dips bread with Me in the bowl.
21For the Son of Man is going away just as it is written about Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.'
King James Version
Chapter 14
12And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover? 13And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. 14And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
15And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.
16And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
17And in the evening he cometh with the twelve.
18And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
19And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?
20And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

13So he sent two of his disciples and told them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.
14Wherever he enters, tell the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"’
15He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there."
16So the disciples went out, entered the city, and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
17When evening came, he arrived with the Twelve.
18While they were reclining and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me."

13So Jesus sent two of them into Jerusalem with these instructions: 'As you go into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him.
14At the house he enters, say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples?’
15He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal.'
16So the two disciples went into the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover meal there.
17In the evening Jesus arrived with the Twelve.
18As they were at the table eating, Jesus said, 'I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me here will betray me.'
