Chapter 14
2for they were saying, 'Not during the festival, otherwise there will be a riot of the people.'
3While He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the Leper, He was reclining at the table, and a woman came with an alabaster vial of very expensive perfume of pure nard. She broke the vial and poured the perfume over His head.
4But there were some indignantly remarking to one another, 'Why has this perfume been wasted?

3And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

4But some were expressing indignation to one another: "Why has this perfume been wasted?

4There were some who said to themselves indignantly, "Why was the ointment wasted like that?
