Mark 14:21-45
New American Standard Bible
22While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, 'Take it; this is My body.'
23And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
24And He said to them, 'This is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many.
25Truly I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine again, until that day when I drink it, new, in the kingdom of God.'
27And Jesus *said to them, 'You will all fall away, because it is written: ‘I WILL STRIKE THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP WILL BE SCATTERED.’
28But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.'
29But Peter said to Him, 'Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!'
30And Jesus *said to him, 'Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times.'
31But Peter repeatedly said insistently, 'Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!' And they all were saying the same thing as well.
32They *came to a place named Gethsemane; and He *said to His disciples, 'Sit here until I have prayed.'
33And He *took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled.
34And He *said to them, 'My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.'
35And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began praying that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by.
36And He was saying, 'Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.'
37And He *came and *found them sleeping, and *said to Peter, 'Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?
38Keep watching and praying, so that you will not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'
39And again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.
40And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to say in reply to Him.
41And He *came the third time, and *said to them, 'Are you still sleeping and resting? That is enough. The hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42Get up, let’s go; behold, the one who is betraying Me is near!'
43And immediately, while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, *came up, accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs who were from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
44Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, 'Whomever I kiss, He is the one; arrest Him and lead Him away under guard.'
45And after coming, Judas immediately went to Him and *said, 'Rabbi!' and kissed Him.
King James Version
22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.
24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.
25Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.
26And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
27And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.
28But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.
29But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
30And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
32And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray.
33And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy;
34And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.
35And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
37And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou couldest not thou watch one hour
38Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
39And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words.
40And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.
41And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
43And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.
44And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.
45And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him.

33He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he began to be deeply distressed and troubled.
34He said to them, "I am deeply grieved to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake."
35He went a little farther, fell to the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from him.
36And he said, "Abba, Father! All things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, not what I will, but what you will."
37Then he came and found them sleeping. He said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn’t you stay awake one hour?
38Stay awake and pray so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
39Once again he went away and prayed, saying the same thing.
40And again he came and found them sleeping, because they could not keep their eyes open. They did not know what to say to him.
41Then he came a third time and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The time has come. See, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42Get up; let’s go. See, my betrayer is near."
43While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, suddenly arrived. With him was a mob, with swords and clubs, from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders.
44His betrayer had given them a signal. "The one I kiss," he said, "he’s the one; arrest him and take him away under guard."
45So when he came, immediately he went up to Jesus and said, "Rabbi!" and kissed him.
New Living Translation
23And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
24And he said to them, 'This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many.
25I tell you the truth, I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.'
32They went to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and Jesus said, 'Sit here while I go and pray.'
33He took Peter, James, and John with him, and he became deeply troubled and distressed.
34He told them, 'My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.'
35He went on a little farther and fell to the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by.
36Abba, Father,' he cried out, 'everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.'
37Then he returned and found the disciples asleep. He said to Peter, 'Simon, are you asleep? Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour?
38Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak.'
39Then Jesus left them again and prayed the same prayer as before.
40When he returned to them again, he found them sleeping, for they couldn’t keep their eyes open. And they didn’t know what to say.
41When he returned to them the third time, he said, 'Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But no — the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42Up, let’s be going. Look, my betrayer is here!'
43And immediately, even as Jesus said this, Judas, one of the twelve disciples, arrived with a crowd of men armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent by the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the elders.
44The traitor, Judas, had given them a prearranged signal: 'You will know which one to arrest when I greet him with a kiss. Then you can take him away under guard.'
45As soon as they arrived, Judas walked up to Jesus. 'Rabbi!' he exclaimed, and gave him the kiss.
