Mark 3:20-33
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
20And He *came home, and the crowd *gathered again, to such an extent that they could not even eat a meal. 21And when His own people heard about this, they came out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, 'He has lost His senses.' 22The scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, 'He is possessed by Beelzebul,' and 'He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.' 23And so He called them to Himself and began speaking to them in parables: 'How can Satan cast out Satan? 24And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. 26And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! 27But no one can enter the strong man’s house and plunder his property unless he first ties up the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28Truly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons and daughters of men, and whatever blasphemies they commit;
29but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin'—
30because they were saying, 'He has an unclean spirit.'
31Then His mother and His brothers *came, and while standing outside they sent word to Him, calling for Him.
32And a crowd was sitting around Him, and they *said to Him, 'Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside looking for You.'
33Answering them, He *said, 'Who are My mother and My brothers?'
King James Version
Chapter 3
20And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread. 21And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself. 22And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.
23And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan
24And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
27No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
28Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
30Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Chapter 3
20Jesus entered a house, and the crowd gathered again so that they were not even able to eat. 21When his family heard this, they set out to restrain him, because they said, "He’s out of his mind."
23So he summoned them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan?
24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand but is finished.
27But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house.
28"Truly I tell you, people will be forgiven for all sins and whatever blasphemies they utter.
29But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin" —
30because they were saying, "He has an unclean spirit."
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
20One time Jesus entered a house, and the crowds began to gather again. Soon he and his disciples couldn’t even find time to eat. 21When his family heard what was happening, they tried to take him away. 'He’s out of his mind,' they said.
23Jesus called them over and responded with an illustration. 'How can Satan cast out Satan?' he asked.
24A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse.
25Similarly, a family splintered by feuding will fall apart.
26And if Satan is divided and fights against himself, how can he stand? He would never survive.
27Let me illustrate this further. Who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger — someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house.
28I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,
29but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.'
30He told them this because they were saying, 'He’s possessed by an evil spirit.'

Chapter 3
20Then he went home, and the crowd gathered again, so that they could not even eat. 21And when his family heard it, they went out to seize him, for they were saying, "He is out of his mind."
22And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, "He is possessed by Beelzebul," and "by the prince of demons he casts out the demons."
23And he called them to him and said to them in parables, "How can Satan cast out Satan?
24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.
26And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end.
27But no one can enter a strong man 's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house.

Chapter 3
20Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. 21When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."
23So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan?
24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.
27In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.
28Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter,
29but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin."
