36But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, *said to the synagogue official, 'Do not be afraid, only believe.' 37And He allowed no one to accompany Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James. 38They *came to the house of the synagogue official, and He *saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing. 39And after entering, He *said to them, 'Why are you making a commotion and weeping? The child has not died, but is asleep.'King James Version

37Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn’t let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John (the brother of James).
38When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw much commotion and weeping and wailing.
39He went inside and asked, 'Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.'
