Chapter 9

3and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them. 4And Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus. 5Peter responded and *said to Jesus, 'Rabbi, it is good that we are here; let’s make three tabernacles, one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.' 6For he did not know how to reply; for they became terrified. 7Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud: 'This is My beloved Son; listen to Him!'

3And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. 4And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. 5And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
6For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid. 7And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

5Peter exclaimed, 'Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials — one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.' 6He said this because he didn’t really know what else to say, for they were all terrified.
7Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, 'This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him.'
