Matthew 21:2-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 21
2saying to them, 'Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied there and a colt with it. Untie them and bring them to Me. 3And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them on immediately.' 4Now this took place so that what was spoken through the prophet would be fulfilled:
6The disciples went and did just as Jesus had instructed them,
7and brought the donkey and the colt, and laid their cloaks on them; and He sat on the cloaks.
8Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.
10When He had entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, 'Who is this?'
11And the crowds were saying, 'This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.'
12And Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.
13And He *said to them, 'It is written: ‘MY HOUSE WILL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER’; but you are making it a DEN OF ROBBERS.'
King James Version
Chapter 21
2Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them. 4All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, 5Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
6And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them,
7And brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon.
8And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way.
9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
10And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?
11And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
12And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
13And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

6The disciples went and did just as Jesus directed them.
7They brought the donkey and its foal; then they laid their clothes on them, and he sat on them.
8A very large crowd spread their clothes on the road; others were cutting branches from the trees and spreading them on the road.

Chapter 21
2Go into the village over there,' he said. 'As soon as you enter it, you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them to me. 3If anyone asks what you are doing, just say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will immediately let you take them.'
6The two disciples did as Jesus commanded.
7They brought the donkey and the colt to him and threw their garments over the colt, and he sat on it.
12Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves.
13He said to them, 'The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!'

Untie them and bring them to me. 3If anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord needs them,’ and he will send them at once." 4This took place to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, saying,

6The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them.
