Matthew 25:26-37
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
26But his master answered and said to him, ‘You worthless, lazy slave! Did you know that I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not scatter seed? 27Then you ought to have put my money in the bank, and on my arrival I would have received my money back with interest. 28Therefore: take the talent away from him, and give it to the one who has the ten talents.’
29For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.
30And throw the worthless slave into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.
32And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;
33and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.
34Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
36naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’
37Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
King James Version
Chapter 25
26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

Chapter 25
26"His master replied to him, ‘You evil, lazy servant! If you knew that I reap where I haven’t sown and gather where I haven’t scattered, 27then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and I would have received my money back with interest when I returned.
28"‘So take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.
29For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have more than enough. But from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him
30And throw this good-for-nothing servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne.
32All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on the left.
34Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

Chapter 25
26But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’
28Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver.
29To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
30Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
31But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne.
32All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left.
34Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.
35For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.
36I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’
