Matthew 27:22-26
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 27
22Pilate *said to them, 'Then what shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?' They all *said, 'Crucify Him!' 23But he said, 'Why, what evil has He done?' Yet they kept shouting all the more, saying, 'Crucify Him!'
24Now when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, 'I am innocent of this Man’s blood; you yourselves shall see.'
25And all the people replied, 'His blood shall be on us and on our children!'
26Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus flogged, he handed Him over to be crucified.

22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. 23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. 24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.Christian Standard Bible
