Lord
bringing us into this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become plunder! Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?'

So they said to one another, 'Let’s appoint a leader and return to Egypt!'

Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in the presence of all the assembly of the congregation of the sons of Israel.

And wherefore hath the
Lord
brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.

Then they plotted among themselves, 'Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!'

Then Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground before the whole community of Israel.
