Chapter 27

19and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight. 20And you shall put some of your authority on him, so that all the congregation of the sons of Israel will obey him. 21Moreover, he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his command they shall go out, and at his command they shall come in, both he and all the sons of Israel with him, all the congregation.' 22Then Moses did just as the Lord commanded him; he took Joshua and had him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation. 23Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord had spoken through Moses.

19And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight. 20And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient. 21And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the Lord: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
22And Moses did as the Lord commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation: 23And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.

19Have him stand before the priest Eleazar and the whole community, and commission him in their sight. 20Confer some of your authority on him so that the entire Israelite community will obey him. 21He will stand before the priest Eleazar who will consult the Lord for him with the decision of the Urim. He and all the Israelites with him, even the entire community, will go out and come back in at his command."
22Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua, had him stand before the priest Eleazar and the entire community, 23laid his hands on him, and commissioned him, as the Lord had spoken through Moses.

Chapter 27

19Present him to Eleazar the priest before the whole community, and publicly commission him to lead the people. 20Transfer some of your authority to him so the whole community of Israel will obey him. 21When direction from the Lord is needed, Joshua will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will use the Urim — one of the sacred lots cast before the Lord — to determine his will. This is how Joshua and the rest of the community of Israel will determine everything they should do.'
22So Moses did as the Lord commanded. He presented Joshua to Eleazar the priest and the whole community. 23Moses laid his hands on him and commissioned him to lead the people, just as the Lord had commanded through Moses.
