Chapter 1
14Throw in your lot with us; We will all have one money bag,' 15My son, do not walk on the way with them. Keep your feet from their path, 16For their feet run to evil, And they are quick to shed blood. 17Indeed, it is useless to spread the baited net In the sight of any bird; 18But they lie in wait for their own blood; They ambush their own lives. 19Such are the ways of everyone who makes unjust gain; It takes away the life of its possessors. 20Wisdom shouts in the street, She raises her voice in the public square; 21At the head of the noisy streets she cries out; At the entrance of the gates in the city she declares her sayings:King James Version

Chapter 1
14Throw in your lot with us, and we’ll all share the loot" — 15my son, don’t travel that road with them or set foot on their path, 16because their feet run toward evil and they hurry to shed blood. 17It is useless to spread a net where any bird can see it, 18but they set an ambush to kill themselves; they attack their own lives. 19Such are the paths of all who make profit dishonestly; it takes the lives of those who receive it. 20Wisdom calls out in the street; she makes her voice heard in the public squares. 21She cries out above the commotion; she speaks at the entrance of the city gates:New Living Translation
15My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths.
16They rush to commit evil deeds. They hurry to commit murder.
17If a bird sees a trap being set, it knows to stay away.
18But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed.
19Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life.
