Chapter 11

6The righteousness of the upright will rescue them, But the treacherous will be caught by their own greed. 7When a wicked person dies, his expectation will perish, And the hope of strong people perishes. 8The righteous is rescued from trouble, But the wicked takes his place. 9With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued. 10When things go well for the righteous, the city rejoices, And when the wicked perish, there is joyful shouting.

6The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness.
7When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth.
8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.
9An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
