Psalms 105:2-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 105
2Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Tell of all His wonders. 3Boast in His holy name; May the heart of those who seek the Lord be joyful. 4Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually. 5Remember His wonders which He has done, His marvels and the judgments spoken by His mouth, 6You descendants of Abraham, His servant, You sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! 7He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. 8He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations, 9 The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. 10Then He confirmed it to Jacob as a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, 11Saying, 'To you I will give the land of Canaan As the portion of your inheritance,' 12When they were only a few people in number, Very few, and strangers in it. 13And they wandered from nation to nation, From one kingdom to another people, 14He allowed no one to oppress them, And He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, 15'Do not touch My anointed ones, And do not harm My prophets.' 16And He called for a famine upon the land; He broke the whole staff of bread. 17He sent a man before them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. 18They forced his feet into shackles, He was put in irons; 19Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord refined him. 20The king sent and released him, The ruler of peoples, and set him free. 21He made him lord of his house, And ruler over all his possessions,King James Version

Chapter 105
2Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell about all his wondrous works! 3Honor his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 4Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 5Remember the wondrous works he has done, his wonders, and the judgments he has pronounced,
6you offspring of Abraham his servant, Jacob’s descendants—his chosen ones.
7He is the Lord our God; his judgments govern the whole earth.
8He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he ordained for a thousand generations —
9the covenant he made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,
10and confirmed to Jacob as a decree and to Israel as a permanent covenant:
11"I will give the land of Canaan to you as your inherited portion."
12When they were few in number, very few indeed, and resident aliens in Canaan,
13wandering from nation to nation and from one kingdom to another,
14he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their behalf:
15"Do not touch my anointed ones, or harm my prophets."
16He called down famine against the land and destroyed the entire food supply.
17He had sent a man ahead of them— Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18They hurt his feet with shackles; his neck was put in an iron collar.
19Until the time his prediction came true, the word of the Lord tested him.
20The king sent for him and released him; the ruler of peoples set him free.
21He made him master of his household, ruler over all his possessions —

Chapter 105
2Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. 3Exult in his holy name; rejoice, you who worship the Lord. 4Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him. 5Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles, and the rulings he has given, 6you children of his servant Abraham, you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7He is the Lord our God. His justice is seen throughout the land.
8He always stands by his covenant — the commitment he made to a thousand generations.
9This is the covenant he made with Abraham and the oath he swore to Isaac.
10He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant:
11'I will give you the land of Canaan as your special possession.'
12He said this when they were few in number, a tiny group of strangers in Canaan.
13They wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
14Yet he did not let anyone oppress them. He warned kings on their behalf:
15'Do not touch my chosen people, and do not hurt my prophets.'
16He called for a famine on the land of Canaan, cutting off its food supply.
17Then he sent someone to Egypt ahead of them — Joseph, who was sold as a slave.
18They bruised his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar.
19Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.
20Then Pharaoh sent for him and set him free; the ruler of the nation opened his prison door.
21Joseph was put in charge of all the king’s household; he became ruler over all the king’s possessions.
