Psalms 106:27-37
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 106
27And that He would bring down their descendants among the nations, And scatter them in the lands. 28They also followed Baal-peor, And ate sacrifices offered to the dead. 29So they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And a plague broke out among them. 30Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, And so the plague was brought to a halt. 31And it was credited to him as righteousness, To all generations forever. 32They also provoked Him to wrath at the waters of Meribah, So that it went badly for Moses on their account. 33Because they were rebellious against His Spirit, He spoke rashly with his lips. 34They did not destroy the peoples, As the Lord had commanded them, 35But they got involved with the nations And learned their practices, 36And served their idols, Which became a snare to them. 37They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons,King James Version

31It was credited to him as righteousness throughout all generations to come.
32They angered the Lord at the Waters of Meribah, and Moses suffered because of them;

34They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them
35but mingled with the nations and adopted their ways.
36They served their idols, which became a snare to them.
37They sacrificed their sons and daughters to demons.

Chapter 106
27that he would scatter their descendants among the nations, exiling them to distant lands.
28Then our ancestors joined in the worship of Baal at Peor; they even ate sacrifices offered to the dead!
29They angered the Lord with all these things, so a plague broke out among them.
30But Phinehas had the courage to intervene, and the plague was stopped.
31So he has been regarded as a righteous man ever since that time.

33for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses’ lips.
34They did not destroy the peoples as the Lord had commanded them,
35but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.
