Chapter 107

12Therefore He humbled their heart with labor; They stumbled and there was no one to help. 13Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them from their distresses. 14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death And broke their bands apart. 15They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy, And for His wonders to the sons of mankind! 16For He has shattered gates of bronze And cut off bars of iron. 17Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their guilty deeds, were afflicted.

Chapter 107

12Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
13Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
15Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
16For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
17Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

12He broke their spirits with hard labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help. 13Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; he saved them from their distress. 14He brought them out of darkness and gloom and broke their chains apart. 15Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love and his wondrous works for all humanity.
16For he has broken down the bronze gates and cut through the iron bars. 17Fools suffered affliction because of their rebellious ways and their iniquities.

12That is why he broke them with hard labor; they fell, and no one was there to help them. 13'Lord, help!' they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. 14He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains. 15Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. 16For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron.
17Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.
