Chapter 116
1I love the Lord, because He hears My voice and my pleas. 2Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. 3The snares of death encompassed me And the terrors of Sheol came upon me; I found distress and sorrow. 4Then I called upon the name of the Lord: 'Please, Lord, save my life!' 5Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate. 6The Lord watches over the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. 7Return to your rest, my soul, For the Lord has dealt generously with you. 8For You have rescued my soul from death, My eyes from tears, And my feet from stumbling. 9I shall walk before the Lord In the land of the living. 10I believed when I said, 'I am greatly afflicted.'King James Version

2Because he has turned his ear to me, I will call out to him as long as I live.
3The ropes of death were wrapped around me, and the torments of Sheol overcame me; I encountered trouble and sorrow.
4Then I called on the name of the Lord: "Lord, save me!"
5The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is compassionate.
6The Lord guards the inexperienced; I was helpless, and he saved me.
7Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.
8For you, Lord, rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.
10I believed, even when I said, "I am severely oppressed."

1I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. 2Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath! 3Death wrapped its ropes around me; the terrors of the grave overtook me. I saw only trouble and sorrow. 4Then I called on the name of the Lord: 'Please, Lord, save me!' 5How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! 6The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me. 7Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me. 8He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. 9And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth! 10I believed in you, so I said, 'I am deeply troubled, Lord.'English Standard Version
