Chapter 143
3For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead. 4Therefore my spirit feels weak within me; My heart is appalled within me. 5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your accomplishments; I reflect on the work of Your hands. 6I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah 7Answer me quickly, Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will be the same as those who go down to the pit. 8Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul. 9Save me, Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in You. 10Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. 11For the sake of Your name, Lord, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. 12And in Your faithfulness, destroy my enemies, And eliminate all those who attack my soul, For I am Your servant.King James Version

4My spirit is weak within me; my heart is overcome with dismay.
5I remember the days of old; I meditate on all you have done; I reflect on the work of your hands.
6I spread out my hands to you; I am like parched land before you. Selah
7Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Don’t hide your face from me, or I will be like those going down to the Pit.
8Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you. Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.
9Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I come to you for protection.

3My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave. 4I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear. 5I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.
7Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.
8Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.
9Rescue me from my enemies, Lord; I run to you to hide me.
10Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
11For the glory of your name, O Lord, preserve my life. Because of your faithfulness, bring me out of this distress.
12In your unfailing love, silence all my enemies and destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.

8Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
9Rescue me from my enemies, Lord, for I hide myself in you.

7Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit.
8Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
9Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.
10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.
12In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.
