Romans 15:5-17
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 15
5Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6so that with one purpose and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us, for the glory of God.
8For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision in behalf of the truth of God, to confirm the promises given to the fathers,
9and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy; as it is written: 'THEREFORE I WILL GIVE PRAISE TO YOU AMONG THE GENTILES, AND I WILL SING PRAISES TO YOUR NAME.'
10Again he says, 'REJOICE, YOU GENTILES, WITH HIS PEOPLE.'
11And again, 'PRAISE THE Lord ALL YOU GENTILES, AND LET ALL THE PEOPLES PRAISE HIM.'
14And concerning you, my brothers and sisters, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able also to admonish one another.
15But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given to me from God,
16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.
King James Version
Chapter 15
5Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
8Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
14And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
17I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 15
5Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6so that you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ with one mind and one voice.
7Therefore accept one another, just as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.
8For I say that Christ became a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises to the fathers,
14My brothers and sisters, I myself am convinced about you that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.
15Nevertheless, I have written to remind you more boldly on some points because of the grace given me by God
16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the gospel of God. My purpose is that the Gentiles may be an acceptable offering, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17Therefore I have reason to boast in Christ Jesus regarding what pertains to God.
New Living Translation
Chapter 15
5May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. 6Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
8Remember that Christ came as a servant to the Jews to show that God is true to the promises he made to their ancestors.
14I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them.
15Even so, I have been bold enough to write about some of these points, knowing that all you need is this reminder. For by God’s grace,
16I am a special messenger from Christ Jesus to you Gentiles. I bring you the Good News so that I might present you as an acceptable offering to God, made holy by the Holy Spirit.
17So I have reason to be enthusiastic about all Christ Jesus has done through me in my service to God.
English Standard Version
Chapter 15
5May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
8For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God 's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs,
9and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name."
14I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.
15But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God
16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God.
New International Version
Chapter 15
5May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, 6so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.
8For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed
14I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
15Yet I have written you quite boldly on some points to remind you of them again, because of the grace God gave me
16to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles. He gave me the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
New King James Version
Chapter 15
5Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.
8Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,
14Now I myself am confident concerning you, my brethren, that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God,
16that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.
