Romans 8:4-7
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
4so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,King James Version
Chapter 8
4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 8
4in order that the law’s requirement would be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on the things of the Spirit. 6Now the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace. 7The mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit to God’s law. Indeed, it is unable to do so.New Living Translation
5Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.
6So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.
7For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.

Chapter 8
4in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. 6For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. 7For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God 's law; indeed, it cannot.New International Version
5Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
6The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
7The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.
New King James Version
