What does 1 Kings 15:14 mean?
ESV: But the high places were not taken away. Nevertheless, the heart of Asa was wholly true to the Lord all his days.
NIV: Although he did not remove the high places, Asa’s heart was fully committed to the Lord all his life.
NASB: But the high places were not eliminated; nevertheless Asa’s heart was wholly devoted to the Lord all his days.
CSB: The high places were not taken away, but Asa was wholeheartedly devoted to the Lord his entire life.
NLT: Although the pagan shrines were not removed, Asa’s heart remained completely faithful to the Lord throughout his life.
