What does 1 Kings 17:16 mean?
ESV: The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah.
NIV: For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah.
NASB: The bowl of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil become empty, in accordance with the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah.
CSB: The flour jar did not become empty, and the oil jug did not run dry, according to the word of the Lord he had spoken through Elijah.
NLT: There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.
KJV: And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by Elijah.
NKJV: The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.
