What does 2 Chronicles 26:23 mean?
ESV: And Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the burial field that belonged to the kings, for they said, "He is a leper." And Jotham his son reigned in his place.
NIV: Uzziah rested with his ancestors and was buried near them in a cemetery that belonged to the kings, for people said, "He had leprosy." And Jotham his son succeeded him as king.
NASB: So Uzziah lay down with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the grave which belonged to the kings, for they said, 'He had leprosy.' And his son Jotham became king in his place.
CSB: Uzziah rested with his fathers, and he was buried with his fathers in the burial ground of the kings’ cemetery, for they said, "He has a skin disease." His son Jotham became king in his place.
