What does 2 Chronicles 7:18 mean?
ESV: then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’
NIV: I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor to rule over Israel.’
NASB: then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying, ‘ You shall not lack a man to be ruler in Israel.’
CSB: I will establish your royal throne, as I promised your father David: You will never fail to have a man ruling in Israel.
