What does 2 Kings 9:3 mean?
ESV: Then take the flask of oil and pour it on his head and say, ‘Thus says the Lord, I anoint you king over Israel.’ Then open the door and flee; do not linger."
NIV: Then take the flask and pour the oil on his head and declare, ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’ Then open the door and run; don’t delay!"
NASB: Then take the flask of oil and pour it on his head, and say, ‘This is what the Lord says: 'I have anointed you king over Israel.'?’ Then open the door and flee, and do not wait.'
