What does Deuteronomy 20:9 mean?
ESV: And when the officers have finished speaking to the people, then commanders shall be appointed at the head of the people.
NIV: When the officers have finished speaking to the army, they shall appoint commanders over it.
NASB: And when the officers have finished speaking to the people, they shall appoint commanders of armies at the head of the people.
CSB: When the officers have finished addressing the army, they will appoint military commanders to lead it.
