What does Exodus 24:10 mean?
ESV: and they saw the God of Israel. There was under his feet as it were a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness.
NIV: and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.
NASB: and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage. Moses serves as God's spokesman, as the Lord brings plagues and judgments on Egypt, leading to the release of Israel.
