What does Exodus 27:17 mean?
ESV: All the pillars around the court shall be filleted with silver. Their hooks shall be of silver, and their bases of bronze.
NIV: All the posts around the courtyard are to have silver bands and hooks, and bronze bases.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage.
