What does Exodus 37:6 mean?
ESV: And he made a mercy seat of pure gold. Two cubits and a half was its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.
NIV: He made the atonement cover of pure gold—two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.

Book Summary:
The book of Exodus establishes God's covenant relationship with the full-fledged nation of Israel. The descendants of Abraham prosper after settling in Egypt, only to be enslaved by a fearful, hateful Egyptian Pharaoh. God appoints Moses to lead the people out of this bondage.
