What does Ezekiel 40:18 mean?
ESV: And the pavement ran along the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates. This was the lower pavement.
NIV: It abutted the sides of the gateways and was as wide as they were long; this was the lower pavement.
NASB: And the pavement ( that is, the lower pavement) was by the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates.
CSB: which flanked the courtyard’s gates and corresponded to the length of the gates; this was the lower pavement.
NLT: This pavement flanked the gates and extended out from the walls into the courtyard the same distance as the gateway entrance. This was the lower pavement.
KJV: And the pavement by the side of the gates over against the length of the gates was the lower pavement.
NKJV: The pavement was by the side of the gateways, corresponding to the length of the gateways; this was the lower pavement.
