What does Jeremiah 20:16 mean?
ESV: Let that man be like the cities that the Lord overthrew without pity; let him hear a cry in the morning and an alarm at noon,
NIV: May that man be like the towns the Lord overthrew without pity. May he hear wailing in the morning, a battle cry at noon.
NASB: But may that man be like the cities Which the Lord overthrew without relenting, And may he hear an outcry in the morning And an alarm for war at noon;
