What does Jeremiah 26:24 mean?
ESV: But the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah so that he was not given over to the people to be put to death.
NIV: Furthermore, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
