What does Jeremiah 41:7 mean?
ESV: When they came into the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men with him slaughtered them and cast them into a cistern.
NIV: When they went into the city, Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the men who were with him slaughtered them and threw them into a cistern.
NASB: Yet it turned out that as soon as they came inside the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men who were with him slaughtered them and threw them into the cistern.
