What does Numbers 31:5 mean?
ESV: So there were provided, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand from each tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
NIV: So twelve thousand men armed for battle, a thousand from each tribe, were supplied from the clans of Israel.
