What does 1 Chronicles 9:18 mean?
ESV: until then they were in the king’s gate on the east side as the gatekeepers of the camps of the Levites.
NIV: being stationed at the King's Gate on the east, up to the present time. These were the gatekeepers belonging to the camp of the Levites.
NASB: being stationed until now at the king’s gate to the east). These were the gatekeepers for the camp of the sons of Levi.
