What does 1 Kings 8:58 mean?
ESV: that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers.
NIV: May he turn our hearts to him, to walk in obedience to him and keep the commands, decrees and laws he gave our ancestors.
NASB: so that He may guide our hearts toward Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His ordinances, which He commanded our fathers.
CSB: so that he causes us to be devoted to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commands, statutes, and ordinances, which he commanded our ancestors.
NLT: May he give us the desire to do his will in everything and to obey all the commands, decrees, and regulations that he gave our ancestors.
